This week, on Sunday 6 February, the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty’s Accession to the throne, there is a service of Morning Worship at 9.30am at St Bartholomew, Burstow, a Family Service at 10am at St Mary the Virgin, Horne and Morning Worship at 11am at St John the Baptist, Outwood. We are pilgrims on a journey,
Fellow trav’llers on the road;

A Collect for the Sovereign on the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Accession
Almighty God, the fountain of all goodness,
bless our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth,
and all who are in authority under her;
that they may order all things in wisdom and equity,
righteousness and peace,
to the honour and glory of your name
and the good of your Church and people;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

you know us to be set
in the midst of so many and great dangers,
that by reason of the frailty of our nature

Let us pray with confidence as our Saviour has taught us:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Blessing
I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love:
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
And there’s another country I’ve heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
