This Sunday, 12 November, is Remembrance Sunday. There is a service of Morning Worship at 9.30am at St Bartholomew, Burstow, followed by an Act of Remembrance, a service of Morning Worship at 10am at St Mary the Virgin, Horne, folowed by an Act of Remembrance and at St John the Baptist, Outwood, there will be an Act of Remembrance by the War Memorial in the churchyard at 10.50am, followed by a service in church. There will be Cafe Church at 3pm in Smallfield Church Hall and as always, there is an online service here, too, which this week is led by the Revd Nicholas Calver

Let us remember before God all those who have died amid the tragedy of war; all those whom we knew, and whose memory we treasure; and all those who have lived and died in the service of mankind.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them. 

We will remember them.

When you go home tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow we gave our today.

Two minutes’ silence are kept

Almighty and eternal God, from whose love in Christ we cannot be parted, either by death or life:  hear our prayers and thanksgivings for all whom we remember this day; fulfil in them the purpose of your love; and bring us all, with them, to your eternal joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen
